Remember the swine flu vaccine “shortage” just a few months back, which had people in high-risk groups waiting in long lines and scrambling to get vaccinated, while many others were turned away?

Now, since the swine flu pandemic was far less serious than originally projected, and many countries had limited amounts of people wanting the vaccine, many countries are dealing with a swine flu vaccine surplus and are cutting orders left and right. According to Reuters:

• Germany has cut its vaccine supply to about 70 percent of its original order

• The U.S. has cut its order of H1N1 vaccine from Australia’s CSL in half

• France plans to cancel 50 million doses of swine flu vaccine

• Spain is negotiating with Novartis and Glaxo to return excess stocks of H1N1 vaccine

• The Netherlands plans to sell 19 million excess doses

• Switzerland is planning to donate or sell 4.5 million excess doses

France’s Massive H1N1 Vaccine Sell-Off of over 90% of its H1N1 vaccines, because they’re unused and unwanted despite the hype!

France blames the World Health Organization’s push, hype and pandemic panic-based recommendations for pushing them to purchase over 95,000,000 doses. Its population, however, largely refused them with only 5,000,000 vaccinated (and only 198 people who died).

Might higher death rates elsewhere in the world like the U.S. be related in some way more to the vaccine than is being reported?

Might all the hype about the few of those who had been reported as having SWINE FLU H1N1 be MOSTLY U.S. Government and Media HYPE?!

Originally it was said that “millions” could die from the swine flu pandemic. President Obama even declared it a “national emergency.” And the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is still “encouraging everyone to get vaccinated against 2009 H1N1,” adding that “the vaccines to protect against 2009 H1N1 are widely available.”

Even Harvard Researchers Point Out H1N1 Was No More Severe Than Regular Flu

Harvard researcher Marc Lipsitch, DPhil, and colleagues from the U.K. Medical Research Council and the CDC are now saying that the H1N1 swine flu pandemic will end up no more severe than the average flu season.

New research reveals the swine flu pandemic will be no more serious than a typical flu season.

Initially, before H1N1 emerged, planners were preparing for a pandemic with a case/fatality ratio of 0.1%, or one death in every 1,000 symptomatic infections. Now, Lipsitch and colleagues say the case/fatality ratio for swine flu is no higher than 0.048%, and may be even seven to nine times lower depending on calculation methods.

Why Didn’t We Learn From the Past?

Given the typically mild nature of the swine flu, along with its rapidly decreasing levels in the United States, it seems unnecessary to continue with the swine flu vaccine push.

Yet the U.S. government is continuing to push it.
