Your double-chin may be inherited from your mother, or it could have been slowly accumulating due to the forces of gravity and time. You may also be predisposed to a double-chin because of the shape of your neck and jaw -- and sometimes double-chins just happen, for no good reason at all.

One thing for certain is that most people who have a double-chin want to know how to get rid of it. Of course, plastic surgery is expensive and carries with it significant risks.

This is, without a doubt, your key to slimming your neckline and chin.   2. Exercise regularly (include aerobic exercise like jogging, biking or swimming with strength training).

You can also lie down on your side with your head on a pillow, then gently pull your head back so you stretch your neck.

Finally, if you find that having a double-chin is causing you to lose self-esteem remember that everyone is created differently, and there's no danger in having a double-chin.
